Building the next generation of cyclists.
Berkeley Omnium brings the cycling community together. Our partner, the KaiVelo Foundation, helps connect that community to a bigger job: getting more kids on bikes and keeping them riding.
01 Race Today
The community comes together.
One weekend, two races: classic road racing in the hills, then criterium racing in downtown Berkeley. Racers, families, neighbors and volunteers all show up.
02 Give Back
Everyone who shows up is part of it.
Registration fees, sponsorship, volunteer hours and donations all fund the event. In 2026 the Omnium raised $28,610 for six East Bay NICA high school teams, and KaiVelo co-funded the $10,000 cash purse.

Meet our partner
KaiVelo Foundation
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit foundation developed from the Berkeley Bicycle Club to promote recreational and competitive cycling in the SF Bay Area. Its mission, in its own words: “Effecting change through bicycle racing.” Read KaiVelo's vision.

Monarch Racing, presented by KaiVelo and founded by Helen Gilbert-Snyder, is an elite women's racing development team.

Kids learned the basics at the clinic hosted by Trek, then lined up for the kids race right after. Ice cream for the kids came from Mr. Dewies.

The Berkeley cycling club that organizes the Berkeley Omnium and the Berkeley Hills Road Race.
KaiVelo Foundation
A nonprofit developed from the Berkeley Bicycle Club. It supports youth cycling, women's cycling and bike racing, and co-funded the 2026 Omnium cash purse.
