Building the future.
At the 2026 Berkeley Streets Criterium, the racing wasn't the only thing happening on course. Off to the side, a kids clinic gave young riders their own space to learn, ride, and have fun, no results sheet required.
Kids showing up excited, learning new skills, getting more comfortable on the bike, and just having fun. For many of them, this was their first time being part of something like this.

What Happens
A clinic, then a race, then big smiles.
Kids start with skills and coaching, no pressure, no expectations, just learning and riding. Then some of those same kids line up for the kids race itself: full effort, big smiles, and proud parents on the sidelines.

The Berkeley Streets Race has always been about more than competition. It's about creating space for the community, where riders of all levels, and all ages, can be part of it.
The kids clinic and kids race happen alongside the Berkeley Streets Criterium itself, so kids get to watch real racers compete, then get their own turn on the same course.
