College racers get to compete on the same historic courses used by some of Northern California's strongest racers, the Berkeley Hills Road Race and the Berkeley Streets Criterium, together forming the Berkeley Omnium.

In 2017, the Berkeley Streets Criterium hosted a Western Collegiate Cycling Conference race on the UC Berkeley campus. This film follows two collegiate racers there. Now collegiate teams race the full Omnium, on the same road race and criterium courses used by some of Northern California's strongest racers.

The University of California, Berkeley cycling community, led by the Cal Cycling Team, fits naturally with the Berkeley Omnium. Both are built on the same East Bay roads and the same competitive spirit.
Adding collegiate racing connects campus cycling directly with the larger Northern California racing community, giving student-athletes a stage alongside the region's most established racers.
