The story
Part of the Berkeley racing story.
E-Voke Racing has been part of California bike racing for decades. The team describes a roster that runs from state and national champions to masters racers, women, novice riders and emerging talent, held together by competition, mentorship and community.
In 2022, E-Voke's Shannon Gaffney finished second in the Women Masters 40+ race at the Berkeley Hills Road Race, and fourth in the same category at the West Crescent Criterium at UC Berkeley. Two results, one weekend of Berkeley racing, and one more E-Voke jersey in the history of these races.
For decades, E-Voke Racing has been a fixture of California cycling, developing athletes and competing at the highest levels of the sport.

Who writes a race's history
Not only the winners.
The Berkeley Hills Road Race has been run since 1957. Its history is usually told through the names at the top of the results: the winners, the record holders, the famous breakaways.
But a race's history is built by everyone who shows up for it. The masters racer who finishes second. The teammate who drives the carpool. The rider in the field who makes the race hard enough to matter. Teams like E-Voke, who keep bringing riders to the start line year after year, are how a race gets to be nearly seventy years old.
