The story
Racing together. Volunteering together. Growing local racing together.
Super Sprinkles Racing supports both the Berkeley Hills Road Race and the Berkeley Streets Criterium. Their riders show up to race, and they also help with the volunteer effort it takes to make these events happen.
That distinction matters. Local bike racing only survives when clubs and teams do more than show up at the start line.
Super Sprinkles Racing exists to make cycling and racing accessible to women, transgender, femme and other under-represented new riders in the San Francisco Bay Area.

More than competitors
Different jerseys. The same goal.
We may wear different jerseys on race day, but Berkeley Omnium and Super Sprinkles share a bigger goal: keep local bike racing alive and create more opportunities for people to race.
Super Sprinkles Racing is a San Francisco Bay Area 501(c)(3) nonprofit whose stated mission is to make cycling and racing more accessible to women, transgender, femme and other under-represented new riders. That's exactly the kind of rider local racing needs more of.
Super Sprinkles has helped support and coordinate the volunteer effort behind Berkeley Omnium race days.

We're competitors on race day. We're partners in keeping bike racing alive.
How teams support races
- Race: fill the fields that make an event worth running.
- Volunteer: marshal, register riders and staff the course.
- Promote: share other organizers' races with your team and followers.
- Bring new racers: a first race is easier with teammates beside you.
- Encourage women and newer riders to enter.

One regional racing calendar
Berkeley races one weekend. San Francisco races another.
The relationship goes both ways. Super Sprinkles supports the Berkeley Hills Road Race and Berkeley Streets, and it has co-hosted il Giro di San Francisco, the SF Giro, with Velo Promo.
Berkeley and Bay Area racers who line up in the East Bay hills and on downtown Berkeley streets are the same racers who fill the fields in San Francisco. These races aren't rivals for riders. They're stops on one regional calendar, and each one helps the others survive.
